Wood Theory : Community Woodshop

An Ashland Community Resource for Using Your Hands

FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS…

I dreamt of opening Ashland’s community industrial arts space focused on empowering individuals to physically engage themselves in the making process. After returning from living in Portland for almost a decade and being a member of a community shop there, I wanted to make the experience that I had sharing shops with other makers a possibility for Southern Oregon residents!

I have worked as a furniture maker and retail space builder since moving back and have been lucky enough to work with some fine individuals and learned a lot about cooperative shop setups.

Now we are able to move Forward…

and make this vision a reality!

Wood Theory is a place to grow your skills and your appreciation for making things with your hands as well as a place to engage with other makers.

So I hope you join us or become involved in the community events that are to come!
