Wood Theory

Autumn is upon us!

Nick DavidComment

As the weather finally cools and the migrating birds find their way through the treetops heading south, I find myself looking back on a truly transformative summer.  Although a drought caused widespread panic about wildfires and water shortages, my little family landed squarely in a heap of opportunity, happiness, and serenity.

Jefferson Woodwright is busier every day, Amirah is in the process of birthing her own counseling and movement therapy business while raising an infant, and I am more elated every day to be able to drop into my flow in the woodshop with creative design, great customers, and the building of quality things.  At times, my excitement for life cannot be held within and I yip and yell about the quality of life here in Ashland with my family.

All of this is to say thank you to my fantastic customers, for their generosity and giving me the opportunity to create something functional and beautiful for them.  Thank you.

Newest Member of the Family!

Nick DavidComment

There are only a few times in life that you know, in an instant, that everything has forever changed.  On June 14th, we had that realization as we welcomed Baby David into the family.   Nameless, as of yet, we're getting to know him in order to better provide a fitting handle.  He was born happy, healthy, and hungry!  Amirah (mama) had a beautlfully strong and intense labor lasting just four hours.  She is recovering quite well.

The baby is eight days old today.  He seems to be getting the hang of this world pretty quickly as he makes great eye contact, and attempts to crawl sometimes.  Joy, elation, excitement, and euphoric are words that do not come close to describing our feelings for him.  He is pure love in the most innocent way.

Welcome little dude.

Introducing Jefferson Woodwright

Nick DavidComment

Hi!  I'm glad you found us!

We couldn't be more excited to be open for business.  It's been a long time coming, and our dreams have finally come true.  With a shop space, online store, and all the background business stuff - we're ready to continue producing the best stuff around.

"What the heck do ya make, anyway?" You might ask.

Well, whatever you'd like us to make.  We want a no BS relationship with you.  Simply put, we'll make what you'd like to have.

Jefferson Woodwright's philosophy is that we want you to have the home you'd like.  So we want to produce beautiful, functional, solid pieces that you'll feel proud to pass on to your children.  And when you do, they won't look like antiques!

We hope to work with you in the near future to achieve your goals and do so efficiently and affordably.

If you think we could help, please don't hesitate to Drop Us A Line!

Best,

Nick David, Owner/Maker
